John Hooks Sr.
John Hooks Sr. came from the Midwest with a desire for independence, and found it in the ownership of a crane company. John Sr. quickly became a fixture of the Tri-Cities’ construction industry. He has been relied on by many of the region’s best contractors for his knowledge and proven track record. From erecting hilltop cell towers to setting pumps along the Columbia River, John Sr. and his yellow Grove crane have been there getting work done.
John Hooks Jr.
A third-generation crane operator, John Jr. learned his craft sitting in the seat of his father’s crane. Certified at the age of twenty-one, it didn’t take long for him to earn the trust of the industry. Now with over twelve years of experience, companies throughout Eastern Washington depend on him for their mission critical lifts. Whether its erecting iron or placing delicate research equipment, you can count on him.
History
Hooks Crane Service was founded in 1977 by John Hooks Sr. and his father Robert Hooks. They started out with a Grove RT-58. That crane has since been replaced but the experience gained along the way has only grown.
In 2005, John Hooks Jr. joined the company becoming a third generation operating engineer.
